Caption: When ordering billet wheel adapters with a wheelcentric lip, please make sure the hub will not hit the inside of the wheelcentric lip. This is common on thin spacers, since the lip edge is very close to the hub, as well as on trucks that have large hubs sticking out.

Caption: 3/4" Thick Billet Wheel Adapter with Wheelcentric Lip Description: The wheelcentric lip holds the wheel exactly centered to the wheel adapter (hubcentric). The outer diameter is machined to the inner diameter of the wheel's centerbore (center hole). If you have tapered lugnuts, they also center the wheel to the adapter (lugcentric). The wheelcentric lip is required when your wheel uses flat washers, since there is nothing to center the rim. For heavy rims and tires, it also takes the load off the studs during installation (which can bend, allowing the wheel to bolt on off-center). It's
optional if you have tapered lugnuts.
The adapter's centerbore inside diameter is machined to the outside diameter of your hub. If the inside diameter of the wheelcentric lip is smaller than the adapters centerbore, there is a step on the inside (as shown). Make sure the hub's outer face doesn't hit this step. You can measure how far the hub sticks out, and we can then machine the counterbore deep enough to clear it. The lip needs about .150" of material, so the adapter will be at least as thick as the hub + .150".
Short lugnuts are included with 3/4" thick adapters (we usually include bulge lugnuts for thicker adapters), so they sit completely inside the wheel adapter. Make sure your hub's studs don't hit the backside of the wheel. The wheel surface needs to sit against the adapter face.

If your wheel studs are longer than your adapter thickness, they will stick out past the billet adapter face. As long as the wheel has pockets like this wheel, the studs have room. If it's a solid back wheel with only the 5 holes for wheelstuds, then we'll either machine the adapters thick enough so the studs are completely inside the billet adapter, or the studs will need to be shortened.

If the new wheels have a smaller centerbore (center hole) diameter than the hub, then we need to machine the adapters thick enough to let the wheel clear the large hub. You'll have to measure how tall the hub is from the face of the brake rotor, and if it tapers down, what the outer diameter is at the end.

When ordering custom adapters, here are a few things to look out for when measuring:
If you've requested a wheelcentric lip, and the hub centerbore is the same or larger than the wheel centerbore diamter, measure the height of the hub lip, so we can machine the adapter counterbore deep enough. The counterbore can not be deeper than the adapter is thick.
If the adapter is thinner than 3/4" or 19mm, make sure the wheel is a cavity back style, so it does not hit the top of the lugnut.
If the adapter is thinner than your studs are long, make sure the wheel will clear the top of the stud.
