Z28tt Intercooler Fabrication

This is the inside
of one of the end tanks. We spent a lot of time smoothing out the inner
contour of the end tank to get the smoothest air flow
possible.
This picture shows
the end tank from the
side.
This is a picture
of Andris holding his massive front mount
intercooler.
I don't really
know the point of this pic and the next one. Andris thought people would
like to see how we fixtured one of the end caps before tacking it
on.
More of the
same.
intercooler from
the front without front fascia. Note the custom bumper that replaces the
factory one that took up a lot of space and blocked airflow to the
intercooler.
from an angle
showing how the tubes pass through the
firewall
Cold side routing
up to the throttle
body.
Intercooler from
the hot side. Note the
bumper.
From this pic you
can really see why the bumper was necessary. No obstructions to block the
flow of air to the
intercooler.
We are going to
fabricate a shroud to give a nice transition from the grill opening to the
intercooler
core.
Same pic as the
last but different
lighting.

I have some more recent temporary pictures located at http://andris.fbody.com/IC They are generally 200k.
