I should've used 3rd gear...
The above chart are the speed and rpm traces of lap 12 of the third session, and the red trace shows the gear (not literally, but you can see the shift from 4th into 5th towards the end of the graph, as well as the tires growing at faster speeds). Looking at the lowest part of the mph graph, I'm exiting the noname corner at 56 mph and 3000 rpms in 4th gear. That would be about 3750 rpms in 3rd, which would give me much better acceleration through the back straight (375 hp starting instead of 280 hp). Running in 4th gear only, I hit a top speed of 103, before braking for the uphill corner (down to 69). The day was slippery, I still had to be easy on the throttle, so perhaps with stickier tires on a warm track next season...
